pet market in manila

i went to pet market called cartimar in manila.

it is loacated near LRT station, Gil puyat.
you can take only 5 minutes from LRT station by foot.
this is the biggest pet market in the philippines.
i regularly go to there to buy pet products for my dogs.

when you step into the arcade of cartimar,
you can smell the scent of aminal......
it is like...... i cant express the smell by word.

the area in cartimar is mainly divided by 2 area.

one is for tropical fish 

another is for other pets like dogs, cats, birds, and so on.

you can find many kinds animal there, from small to big animals.
they mainly sell dogs and cats.

the price of animals depends on the shop.
and you can negotiate the price.

average price is below
large breed of dogs with paper_8000peso～
small breed of dogs with paper_5000peso～

this Siberian husky is sold by 15000peso.
i think that the price is cheaper than the first world countries.
definitely cheaper than japan.


every time i go to manila, i drop by cartimar.
because i usually finds new pets in every visit.
thats how fast the market circle is.

however, i think there are some problems behind that

since they just focus on selling animals,
they dont provide good enviroment for animals.

actually, i found many pappies with diarrhea when i visted last time.
costomers should be careful, when they buy animals there.

in addition, some seller tell a lie to costomers.
for example, the mixed dog is sold as golden and lablador mixed.
but as they grow up, it figured out that it was not the mix.
it happened to me.
i was lacking the knowledge of dogs...
i regreted it....

but the dog grew up as good and loyal dog.
i chose the good dog, even though seller told me a lie.
it is difficult to solve the problem.
because no one can guess how the mixed dog will grow up.


anyway,  the cartimar is my favorite place to go in manila.
you can have fun when you go around there.
